How To Put A Table In Squarespace Blog

33+ Super Useful Squarespace Plugins and Extensions

Each of these plugins adds functionality that isn't already built into the platform. Features like copying content from site to site, embedding Google reviews, and making your Squarespace multilingual.

If you're wondering what's the difference between a plugin and an extension or how - we answer those questions here along with a list of plugin shops you can bookmark and reference later.

This is just a handful of the plugins I've found most useful. Feel free to leave your favorite plugins in the comments.

1. Lightbox Anything Plugin

Lightboxes are a great way to show extra content without having users leaving the page.

With this plugin you can create a lightbox pop-up from any text, button or image link. Useful for displaying size charts, newsletter forms, galleries, anything that you can add to a page.

We're always surprised and interested to see what people come up and how they use it.

  • Group lightboxes to display several lightboxes in one window (great for team pages)

2. Sidebar Plugin

sidebar-example.png

There are a few different ways to add a sidebar to your blog but this plugin is arguably the easiest and most flexible solution. You can customize the look and feel of the sidebar and even have multiple sidebars on the same site.

Features:

  • Works with any template

  • Fully responsive

  • Easy to install and customize

  • Change styles without special knowledge

  • Change styles for a specific sidebar without affecting others

  • Ability to add two sidebars on one page

  • Option to enable/disable a sidebar on specific pages

You'll find more reviews here, here and here.

If you're not into hacks and have a few dollars to spend ($50 to be exact), the Squarespace Sidebar Plugin is the easiest way I've found so far to add a sidebar to a template that doesn't have one.
